First-class exams are $250. Second-class, third-class and BasicMed exams are a flat $175. Booking is by phone: (937) 332-8777.
Private, recreational and student pilots need at least a third-class medical. Commercial pilot privileges require at least a second-class. ATP privileges as pilot in command require a first-class, which FlightFit offers through our Senior AME.
A first-class medical covers first-class privileges for 12 calendar months if you're under 40, or 6 months if you're 40 or older, then steps down to second- and third-class privileges. A second-class medical covers second-class privileges for 12 calendar months. After that it still counts for third-class privileges for 24 months (age 40+) or 60 months (under 40). A third-class medical lasts 24 months if you're 40 or older at the exam, or 60 months if you're under 40.
BasicMed is an alternative to a medical certificate for some pilots. You need a U.S. driver's license, an FAA medical certificate held at any time after July 14, 2006, an exam using the CMEC with a state-licensed physician, and an online BasicMed course. It can't be used for commercial or ATP privileges. See FAA BasicMed.
Many conditions can still be certified. Bring complete records to your visit. Some cases must be deferred to the FAA for review. Call ahead and we can discuss what to bring.
Appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes.
